My Girls & Momma Bear

What can I say my girls are my world! I love my kids; I may not be the perfect mother but I know one thing being a mom has definitely brought out a different side in me. You know the term Momma Bear well to be honest I never thought that I would be that type of Mom. I thought I would be the Mom who would go with the flow of things and dust things off. Well I have come to the conclusion that that is not the kind of mother I am at all.
I remember after I first had Faith I actually went to my Pastor and was very worried because I was having these awful thoughts. My fear was if someone was to try to ever hurt my child I knew 100%  without a doubt;  that I would physically harm that person and for the first time in my life I knew that I had it in me to kill if I had to. Protection of a Momma Bear!!!! I was assured by my Pastor that day that it is normal to feel that way for your children.That you would do anything you could do to protect them. You don't know love until you've had children!
I believe my first ministry in life is to my God, second my husband, and third my children. I am to love my children, nurture my children, and protect my children. They are my gift from God. I rest in knowing God loves them even more than I do and that with His protection they will never be hurt and when they are He will carry them.
My prayer for my girls is that I would be the best Mom I can with God's help, that they will learn about the Lord, that they will trust the Lord, and when they are older they will live for the Lord. There is no more blessed life than a life lived for the Lord! Thank you Jesus for giving me the gift of my girls!
